Every day I like to come up with at least 10 new ideas for various things I would like to accomplish for different areas of my life. I started out by tracking these details in a Google Keep note, but found this system made it difficult to categorize and keep track of my ideas. This is how Idea Spot was born.
Built to track, categorize and organize my ideas, Idea Spot provides the following features:
- Visual queues to notify me if I have added my 10 ideas for the day.
- A calendar displaying how many ideas have been added for each day, color coded, so I know which days my goal was met.
- A form for adding new ideas.
- A form to edit and delete ideas.
- A form to add new idea categories.
- A form to edit and delete idea categories.
- A sortable list of all ideas that have been entered into the tool.
The following technologies were used to build this tool:
The dashboard has a calendar and daily goal met/missed indicator. It also has links to the other pages within the tool. The calendar is color-coded based on whether or not ten ideas have been added for the day, it loads the current month by default and includes controls to access other months.
The idea list is a sortable list of all ideas that have been entered into the tool. This page also features the goal met/missed indicator. The list can be sorted by clicking on any column header. There are also two filter lists, one for the idea category and one for the idea status. Clicking an idea in the list opens the Edit Idea form for that idea.
